This is undoubtedly the best hostel I’ve ever stayed at. Probably because it doesn’t feel like you are in a hostel… it’s more like staying at a friend’s big house. The atmosphere is very relaxed, and the typical “rules” of a hostel are almost non-existent here: breakfast can be had at any time we wanted, for example. Very convenient during our hungover mornings!
The building is antique, with nice high ceilings, but the furniture and decorations are new. There’s an amazing rainshower in one of the bathrooms. There’s a lovely terrace/long balcony where I would go sit down in the evenings, after a long day of walking and sightseeing, to chill and watch the sunset while having a beer and chatting with other guests. There’s a guitar available if anyone wants to play… I remember the evenings as the best part of my stay. The hostel’s hosts, (Ernesto & Khrystian) are super friendly and really helpful. Khrystian made big jars of homemade Sangria a couple of nights during our stay, which he offered for free to all the guests. A very nice idea if you ask me!
The hostel is very well located, a short walk to Paseo de Gracia and main attractions like Casa Batlló, the Sagrada Familia and Plaza Catalunya. The prices are quite reasonable for the great things you get…. I’m definitely staying there again every time I visit Barcelona.
